About the course

Organizations today face continuous change driven by technology, globalization, and shifting customer needs. Innovation and change management are therefore essential skills for leaders, managers, and professionals at all levels. This course provides an applied introduction to innovation processes, design thinking, and methods for implementing change in organizations. You will learn how to foster creativity, overcome resistance, and lead teams through transitions successfully.

After completing the course, you will be able to:

  • Plan and execute change processes in organizations

Course structure
  • Module 1: Introduction to innovation and organizational change
  • Module 2: Design thinking and creative problem solving
  • Module 3: Change management models (Kotter, ADKAR, Lewin)
  • Module 4: Leading people through change – communication, motivation, and resistance
  • Module 5: Case study project – designing and presenting an innovation or change initiative

Assessment is based on a group case project and an individual reflection paper. Successful completion awards 5 ECTS credits.

Learning methods

The course is delivered through four interactive online lectures with demonstrations, cases, and discussions, combined with a final on-campus seminar. The seminar allows participants to work intensively on a real-world case, apply tools in practice, and receive feedback from both peers and instructors.

Entry requirements

Participants should have prior education or relevant work experience in a professional setting. Basic knowledge of organizational structures and teamwork is recommended.
